A 21-YEAR-old man required surgery last week after being stabbed in the borough's busy bus station.

The Tamil victim was stabbed in the abdomen after a dispute with a gang of black males outside Harrow Bus Station on Monday, May 6.

He had been with a group of six other Tamil males who had been involved in an argument with the group of six black males in the incident at 7pm.

Another 18-year-old Tamil youth was also slashed across the back of the head and taken to Northwick Park Hospital.

Investigating officer, DC Russell Bar, from Harrow Police Station, said: "We are appealing for witnesses to this incident as it was a very serious assault which we are keen to get to the bottom of.

"We take a strong approach to all incidents of violence and are keen to stop this happening in the Harrow town centre area."

Three black males were arrested in connection with the incident and are due to return to a police station next month for further enquiries.

Witnesses or anyone with any further information should contact DC Bar on 08733 5409.
