Police have launched a murder enquiry after a man died in an attack in the street in Wembley on Sunday 17th June.

The incident happened at approx. 21:30 on Sunday 17 June. Five men were sitting in a car parked outside the Glenmore Parade of shops in Ealing Road, near to the junction with Mount Pleasant Road. The car was a dark coloured Vauxhall Calibra.

A second car containing four men then turned into Ealing Road from Mount Pleasant Road. The car did a u-turn in Ealing Road and parked next to the victims' car. The four men, who were armed with various bladed and blunt weapons, got out of their car and attacked the Calibra. The windows were smashed and all five victims inside the car suffered injuries in the attack.

The suspects then got back into their car, which was a silver coloured saloon, and made off from the scene along Mount Pleasant Road.

The London Ambulance Service attended and took all five victims to hospital, where one man later died. He was named as 25 year-old Aravinthan MUTHUKUMARASAMY, who lived in the Greenford Area.

Two other victims suffered serious injuries, one man had hand and head injuries, the other had back injuries.

The investigation into this incident is being led by DCI William Chambers of the Serious Crime Group (West). He said: "The victim and his friends were minding their own business when they were attacked in a particularly brutal way. The attack happened in a busy street and we are hopeful that many people may have seen or heard something that can help us. We are particularly keen to trace the movements of the silver coloured light saloon during that evening and after it left the scene. If you saw that car in the area, please call us."
